Average Joe & Plain Jane Unveiling the everyday America

Background
This project is based on the Best Countries Project by Prof. David Reibstein, BAV, and U.S. News, which assessed 60 countries as if they were brands. Each pair of students created a visual representation for one of these countries, using data from the research and additional independently collected content.

Shahaf Katzav and myself were given the challenge to base our project on America.

Project concept
Today, America is omnipresent, influencing the world with its politics, celebrities, movies, and branding. We chose to reveal the hidden side of America by going behind the scenes and capturing snapshots of the everyday citizens.

We connected with ordinary Americans like James, a 38-year-old police chief from Oklahoma; Alyssa, a 22-year-old fashion vlogger from California; and Cody, a 19-year-old Christian rapper. They shared their stories and perspectives on America, and we provided a platform for their voices to shine.

The project was presented on a large touchscreen, and wasa programmed to light up and play the sound of any element that was touched.
