Problem statement
In the digital age, our identities are increasingly shaped by our online presence
The growing dissonance between our real-life personalities and the curated versions we present online prompted me to explore ways to uncover the authentic self behind the digital facade. I aimed to design a tool that could bridge this gap by providing insights into our true personalities, as reflected in our social media activities.

Project ConceptContext-free personality analysis toolOCEAN is an innovative analysis tool designed to evaluate social media posts and generate a personality profile based on "The Big Five" psychological theory. This theory posits that human personality can be distilled into five primary traits: Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism (OCEAN).

Data collection and analysisStripping away superficial aspects
The tool conducts a context-free analysis of social media posts, stripping away the superficial aspects of online personas to reveal underlying personality traits. By analyzing the language, tone, and content of the posts, OCEAN constructs a comprehensive personality model for the user.

Bottom lineA mirror that allows users to embark on a journey of self-reflection
OCEAN is more than just a personality analysis tool; it is a means of fostering self-awareness in the digital era. By bridging the gap between our online personas and our real selves, it encourages a more authentic and reflective approach to our digital interactions.
