Background
Elevating the UI for a competitive edge
Siemplify is a highly visual security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platform that places significant emphasis on delivering an excellent UI and user experience. However, the existing design had become outdated, with hierarchy issues that hampered usability. It was clearly time for refresh the look and feel of the platform.

    #1Home screen
This is where security analysts look at their open cases, tasks, and important information about everything that’s going on in the security operation center.

Main improvements in the new design

    - Reduced Clutter - We decreased the number of sections to create a cleaner, more streamlined interface.

    - Enhanced Case Cards -The redesign of case cards now displays more information while maintaining a sleek modern look.

    - Improved Readability - The "Tasks" section has been enlarged to facilitate reading longer texts and to enhance the overall information hierarchy.

    #2Playbooks screen
This screen allows security professionals to automate security processes through a drag-and-drop interface, creating visual playbooks for incident response. This visual approach helps analysts quickly understand the context of an incident and determine the appropriate response actions.

Main improvements in the new design

    - Sleeker interface - Recognizing the importance of a sleek UI and superior user experience, the interface was revamped to provide a more modern and user-friendly experience when building playbooks.

    - Better hierarchies in the left pane - The playbook list was organized more effectively by adding distinct font weights, updating icons, and replacing drawer components, resulting in a neater and more intuitive layout.

    - Cleaner header - The header of the Playbooks page was cleaned up by reducing the number of available actions and rearranging information.

    #3Cases screen
This screen allows security analysts to manage, investigate, and resolve security incidents efficiently. It provides detailed information about each case, including alerts, evidence, and actions taken. The screen is designed to facilitate the prioritization and assignment of cases, streamline workflows, and ensure that all relevant data is easily accessible for thorough investigations

Main improvements in the new design

    - More prominent design for the cases list - The list of cases in the left pane got sleeker and clearer, with a new card-like design.

    - Clearer header hierarchies - The header typography was improved to make the case name more prominent. Additionally, the information was reordered to better distinguish different types of data.
